Pentecost Hospital, Madina—formerly known as Alpha Medical Center—was established in May 1997 by the Church of Pentecost to provide quality healthcare services to the people of Madina and its surrounding communities. In 1999, the hospital was officially recognized by the Government of Ghana and registered with the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG), further strengthening its commitment to delivering accessible and compassionate healthcare.
The mission of Pentecost Hospital, Madina is to be an excellent holistic Christian healthcare institution, providing affordable and quality care to all. Our vision is ‘Healthy Community, Christ’s Love and Healing Ministry Fulfilled.’
Located at Madina Estate, the hospital is staffed by 23 full-time medical officers, including 8 specialists spanning Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Paediatrics, Family Medicine, Ophthalmology, Radiology, General Surgery, and Endocrinology — ensuring comprehensive care across a broad range of medical needs. Supporting this team are 96 dedicated nurses.
Our facilities support a wide range of care, including ultrasound scanning, maternal and child welfare clinics, TB treatment, physiotherapy, and specialized clinics for diabetes, hypertension, ENT, eye care, and dental services.
The hospital has a 58-bed capacity.The hospital provides HIV/AIDS counselling, STD guidance, and personal hygiene education, complemented by the services of an in-house chaplain who attends to the spiritual and psychological needs of both staff and clients.
