About Pentecost Hospital

Pentecost Hospital, Madina, formerly known as Alpha Medical Center, was established in May 1997 by the Church of Pentecost to provide quality healthcare to the people of Madina and surrounding communities. In 1999, the hospital was officially approved by the Government of Ghana and registered with the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG).

By 2006, it had also been recognized as a Budget Management Center (BMC) by the Ministry of Finance. Accredited by the National Health Insurance Scheme (NHIS), Pentecost Hospital serves as the designated La-Nkwantanang Madina Municipal Hospital, receiving referrals from clinics and health centers within the Municipality and beyond. Currently, we are proud to have a dedicated workforce of 398.

The mission of Pentecost Hospital, Madina is to be an excellent holistic Christian healthcare institution, providing affordable and quality care to all. Our vision is “Healthy Community, Christ’s Love and Healing Ministry Fulfilled.” Located at Madina Estate, the hospital has 23 full-time medical officers, including 8 specialists in Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Pediatrics, Family Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Radiology. We also have 96 nurses. Our facilities include ultrasound scanning, maternal and child welfare clinics, TB treatment, and specialized clinics for diabetes, hypertension, ENT, eye care, and dental care. The hospital has a 58-bed capacity.

We have in place HIV/AIDS, counselling on STDs, Personal Hygiene etc….

The hospital has an in-house chaplain who address the Spiritual and Psychological needs of both staff and clients.
